Three Delivery Companies Hiring Drivers
When we think of delivery today most of us automatically think of Amazon. Amazon is the biggest retailer and delivery service provider in the world after all, but just because they are the biggest doesn't mean they are the only ones. Keep reading to learn about three other delivery service providers looking for drivers.
FedEx
FedEx is another international delivery service which is often on the lookout for new delivery drivers. While Amazon often hires drivers as independent contractors, FedEx hires its drivers as full or part-time employees of the company. This means that by working with FedEx you have access to more benefits and more job security.
Door Dash
Door Dash is another service that is often on the lookout for drivers. Door Dash provides food delivery services. A Door Dash driver would be responsible for picking up food orders locally and delivering them to customers. Unlike FedEx, Door Dash drivers are independent contractors. This means you get the flexibility of creating your own hours and being your own boss. Although many people love the flexibility of being an independent contractor, the downside would be that there are no benefits offered for these types of workers.
Postmates
Postmates is another popular delivery service in need of drivers. Postmates is similar to Door Dash in that you will pick up orders for customers and deliver them to their location. Postmates will deliver a variety of orders including prepared food, groceries, and even alcohol. Postmates drivers are independent contractors and therefore are not eligible for benefits. You will have the flexibility of choosing when you work or how much you work, however.
If you are looking for a delivery job, but can't seem to get on with Amazon, these other 3 options could be a good fit for you.
